Bandaging Techniques and Simple Immobilization for Sports Injuries

This study discusses the effectiveness of simple immobilization bandaging techniques in managing sports injuries. Injuries such as sprains, strains, bruises, and minor fractures frequently occur in both athletes and the general public, requiring prompt treatment to prevent complications. Simple immobilization bandaging techniques have been proven effective in reducing swelling, pain, and speeding up the recovery of tissue function. Various international and local studies show that compression with bandages, especially when combined with cryotherapy and rehabilitation exercises, can improve healing outcomes and prevent recurrent injuries. Furthermore, this study also highlights the importance of education and training for the public on first aid, as there are still many gaps in knowledge and traditional practices that do not align with medical principles. With a strong scientific foundation and tangible practical benefits, simple immobilization bandaging techniques can be an effective solution in handling sports injuries, supporting rehabilitation, as well as contributing to the prevention of recurring injuries and improvement of athletic performance
