Abstract

This study discusses violations of professional ethics in telecommunication tower construction work, focusing on clauses violated in the code of ethics for engineers in Indonesia, specifically in the case in Bogor Regency in 2024. Violations include manipulation of technical data and project implementation without environmental permits. The purpose of this study is to identify the forms of violations, analyze the violated ethical clauses, and evaluate the impact of these violations. The method used is a descriptive qualitative literature study with data sources from codes of ethics, government regulations, and previous studies. The results of the study indicate violations of the principles of honesty, public safety, and legal compliance. The main causal factors are project pressure and weak technical supervision. This study recommends strengthening ethics education in the civil engineering curriculum and improving the project supervision system.
